Bollywood is currently plagued by the new boycott trend that is becoming notorious for causing the downfall of films at the box office. Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan and Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha were the latest and biggest victims of the infamous culture. The movies, although created a substantial buzz among moviegoers, became the biggest flops of the respective actors’ careers over the last decade.
Now, Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming Pathaan becomes the next target on social media. Actors, as well as experts in the industry, are speaking out against it and how it could affect the industry. Weighing in on the same, celebrated producer Ekta Kapoor hailed Aamir Khan amidst the flaring #BoycottLaalSinghChaddha trend.
