Elon Musk Proposes To Sell More Tesla Stocks While Mocking US Senator Bernie Sanders On Twitter

Posted on November 15, 2021December 22, 2021 By admin

With more than sixty million followers on Twitter, Elon Musk surely enjoys a huge fan following on social media. An avid social media user himself, the World’s Richest Man recently locked horns with US Senator Bernie Sanders on the microblogging site, but it looks his response to the latter’s tweet hasn’t gone down well with his followers. While Musk ran a poll on Twitter, the US Senator highlighted the fact that Musk is nearly $293 billion richer since the start of the pandemic on social media while calling the economy ‘rigged’.

Nearly half of Americans do not earn enough to afford to rent a one bedroom apartment.
Half our people continue to live paycheck to paycheck.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk is some $293 BILLION richer since the start of the pandemic.

That’s what a rigged economy is all about.

But their rivalry grabbed everyone’s attention when Musk replied to Sanders tweet, “We must demand that the extremely wealthy pay their fair sharePeriod” While Sanders, who is also the Senate Budget Committee chairman, urged all billionaires to pay their taxes fairly, Musk replied to his tweet, “I keep forgetting that you’re still alive”

In another tweet, Musk proposed the idea of selling more Tesla stock and wrote, “Want me to sell more stock, Bernie? Just say the word” However, the tweet failed to go down well with netizens, who in return slammed the Tesla founder for taking an insensitive dig at the SenatorMeanwhile, many others joined the banter and urged Musk to pay his taxesCheck out the reactions here:

I used to think Elon truly wanted to best for humanity, with trying to make human life multiplanetary

But no, he’s a troll with no empathy, just another side of the same narcissistic coin, like TrumpHe perpetuates the worst in the crowds he riles up, and cares not for othershttps://tco/LWTqdY2Fx8

What a deeply offensive thing to say

I’m old enough to remember when Barack Obama and Joe Biden saved @elonmusk and @Tesla with a $465 million bailout

Elon Musk is only a billionaire because of government assistanceIt is time for the billionaires to pay their fair share

Musk, who became the first person on Earth to surpass the $300 billion mark, reportedly sold off approximately $11 billion worth of Tesla stock earlier this month, just days after hosting a Twitter poll

While a majority of the voters who participated in the poll agreed with Musk’s plan to sell Tesla stocks to cover the new tax obligations, the SpaceX founder even slammed the move openly on Twitter as wellAccording to the new law proposed by the USDemocrats, stocks and other tradeable assets owned by billionaires could be taxed to support President Joe Biden’s social spending agenda
